Laura Davis has more than twenty years of experience advising senior executives and boards on their go to market, brand and business expansion strategies. Her experience spans business and product strategy, brand development, market and customer intelligence and demand generation. She has also built global marketing functions at growth organizations ahead of fundraising and M&A events.
As the Chief Marketing Officer at Rimes Technologies, a global data and software provider to the financial services industry, Laura is responsible for elevating the brand and driving the company’s growth across new segments and markets. Previously, she was the owner and managing director of the consultancy LRD Strategies, and the Global Head of Marketing for IHS Markit, where she led marketing for the organization’s 1.7b Financial Services group. Laura also spent many years based out of Singapore, working with organizations including Markit and Bloomberg on their regional expansion strategies.
Laura splits her professional time between Canada, New York and London. She is a passionate supporter of the development of women in the Financial Services industry and is a mentor and advisor to emerging leaders, start ups and scale ups. Outside of the office, she can be found on the ski slopes and hiking trails with her family.
Laura holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University and is the recipient of Market Media’s 2019 Women in Finance Award for Excellence in Marketing & Communication.
